What type of watercolor paper should I use?

Personally as a professional artist I want to use the best. Even though the price might be higher my paintings will turn out better and will last longer. I mean we put our time, heart and soul into our watercolor paintings. Right? I like to use Arches watercolor blocks. Why the watercolor blocks? Honestly, I don't like taking the time to stretch watercolor paper. Call me lazy! :-)  At least I am honest. LOL  Watercolor blocks just save a lot of time and also my watercolor paper is perfectly stretched.  I also like the Arches watercolor blocks because I like to layer my watercolor paintings. The Arches watercolor paper block allows me to make several layers without damaging the paper. So, have you ever bought the cheaper watercolor paper and the paper balls up on you while you are adding layers? Well, this is a sign of cheaper watercolor paper. ... And guess what? How to Clean Your Acrylic Painting Brushes

  You know art supplies aren't cheap. By now I'm sure you know that. Right? So some simple acrylic brush care is important. One important care tip is to rinse your brush often. Don't let one brush have paint in it while you start using another brush and another color. Great way to ruin a brush! Water, water, water, rinse, rinse, rinse. After you rinse your brush let the brush lay flat on a paper towel. Never let the brush stand upright in your brush container until the brush is dry.  Never leave a brush in a container of water for very long. In this day and age we are all so busy with many distractions! It is so easy to forget a brush in a water container and if the brush is made of wood and has a painted coating on the handle you can easily come back in a few hours only to find that the paint on the brush handle is now all cracked and split.  Check out my Acrylic Painting Course.
